Understanding tags and topics

How to organize your prompts for better analysis

Organizing Your Data

As you add more prompts to GeoFlux, your dashboard can quickly become cluttered. To help you segment your data and extract meaningful insights, we offer two organizational tools: Topics and Tags.

Topics

A Topic is a broad category that groups related prompts together. Think of it as the main bucket or overarching theme of the user query.

  • Example Topics: "CRM Software", "Email Marketing", "Sales Automation"
  • Every prompt must belong to one Topic.
  • When creating prompts via our AI Suggestion tool, you can also have the AI automatically suggest relevant Topics based on your brand's offerings.

Tags

Tags are entirely optional and act as flexible, cross-cutting labels. They allow you to apply secondary categorizations to your prompts, independent of their primary Topic.

  • Example Tags: Q1-Campaign, High-Priority, B2B, Enterprise
  • A single prompt can have multiple tags, or none at all.

Analyzing by Tags and Topics

The true power of Tags and Topics comes alive on your Dashboard.

Instead of looking at your overall visibility across all prompts, you can apply filters to drill down into specific segments:

  • By Topic: Select the "CRM Software" topic to see your Share of Voice specifically when AI users ask about CRMs. This is great for understanding which product lines are performing best.
  • By Tag: Select the Q1-Campaign tag to measure the AI visibility impact of a recent marketing initiative.

By strategically tagging and categorizing your prompts, you unlock granular insights into where your brand is winning and where it needs more focus.
