Plans, credits, trials, the Free plan, and how GEOflux billing works
GEOflux is billed per project, and sized in credits. A credit is one AI answer: the plan you pick decides how many questions you can track, how often they run, and which features you get. There are no per-seat charges on any plan.
Credits
1 credit = 1 answer
Every prompt is answered by ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity each time it runs, so a prompt holds 3 credits: one per engine. A persona on a prompt is asked separately, so each persona link holds 3 more.

Credits are allocated, not consumed. A prompt holds its credits for as long as it is active, however often it runs; archiving returns them and restoring holds them again. At each renewal your balance resets to the plan allowance minus what your active prompts hold. So your credit total is simply the size of your tracked set. Before 14 October 2026 one credit covered a prompt on all three engines. On that date every plan, pack, persona add-on and balance was multiplied by 3, so every project kept exactly the room it had. Nobody's price changed.
Each project, each brand in the sidebar's brand selector, has its own plan and its own credits. Credits are never pooled across projects.

Features your plan does not include show a lock in the sidebar or on the page. You can still open them to see an example and what upgrading adds.
The free trial
Starter and Growth each come with a 14-day free trial, with full access and no card required.
- The Subscription page shows the days left. In the last 4 days a banner reminds you to Add payment method.
- To keep going, add a payment method at any time during the trial. The Subscription page offers Keep [plan] after your trial: Continue with your plan, or Move up to the bigger one. Nothing is charged until the trial ends.
- If the trial ends without a payment method, tracking stops and the account becomes read-only. Your data is kept, and Restart tracking on a paid plan brings it back. We email you before and after the trial ends; see Emails and notifications.
- A few actions need a payment method even during the trial, such as buying add-ons or adding another project as an agency. The app offers Add payment method in those places.
The Free plan
The Free plan is not a trial. It is a smaller version of GEOflux that stays free for as long as you use it.
- 45 credits (15 prompts), with prompts refreshed every 3 days, and 3 competitors. Personas, AI Readiness and Brand Perception are not included.
- Free and the trial are separate ways in. You choose at signup, and a Free account cannot start a trial later. If you want the full product for 14 days, start with a trial.
- Places on the Free plan are limited. When it is full, signup offers a trial or a waitlist.
- To upgrade, open Subscription. What you get by upgrading compares the plans, monthly or Yearly, 2 months free, with an Upgrade to button for each. Billing starts when you upgrade, since there is no trial on the way up from Free. Your prompts, competitors and history carry over.
Inactivity pause
A Free project nobody opens for a long time is paused, not deleted:
- After 60 days without a login, the account's Admins get a warning email, and again at 75 and 85 days.
- At 90 days, tracking pauses: prompts stop running, and summary and watchlist emails stop. Nothing is deleted and the app stays usable.
- Reactivate in the banner starts tracking again straight away. The paused days stay empty. Upgrading also restarts it.
Logging in resets the clock.
The Subscription page
Subscription is under Billing in the sidebar for Admins and the owner, and the Upgrade button at the bottom of the sidebar opens it for everyone. It shows the project's plan, status, available credits, add-ons and, below a plan you can grow out of, what the next plan adds (Get more with the next plan). Only Admins and the owner can change the plan or see invoices.
On a paid plan, the Manage subscription menu offers:
- Upgrade plan: takes effect immediately.
- Switch to yearly plan or Switch to monthly plan.
- Downgrade plan: applies at your next billing date, shown as Scheduled to be downgraded on that date. Cancel downgrade plan undoes it.
- Purchase Persona Add-on and Purchase Credits pack.
- Cancel subscription, under Danger zone. The plan shows Scheduled to be canceled on its end date, and Keep subscription undoes the cancellation in the meantime.
A downgrade is refused while the project uses more than the new plan allows, in credits, personas, shared reports or competitors. The message says what to remove first.
Any discount on the subscription shows on the plan card as its name, the percentage off and the date it ends, followed by your next invoice amount and date. The Upcoming Invoice and Paid Invoices tabs list your invoices.
Adding capacity
The Add-ons section lists what you have bought on top of the plan, in Personas and Credits tabs, each with its purchase date and a Manage add-on menu to buy more or cancel. On a card-free trial it asks you to add a payment method first.
Credit packs
Need more prompts or persona links? Buy extra credits in packs of 150 credits for $66, on any paid plan: that is 50 more prompts. In Add more credits, choose how many you need, in steps of 150; larger amounts cost less per credit, and the panel shows the exact price before you buy. A project can hold up to 9,000 credits in total, including the plan's own. For more, ask us about Enterprise.
Persona add-ons
Each plan includes some personas at no extra cost: 1 on Starter, 3 on Growth. Beyond that you can buy persona add-ons, and each one also adds 150 credits to your monthly allowance. The price is shown on the Personas page when you add one; Purchase Persona Add-on on the Subscription page takes you there. See Personas.
Discounts
- Referrals: if another GEOflux customer referred you, the referral discount is applied at checkout automatically. Otherwise checkout has a field for a promo code.
- Agency rebate: agencies get a rebate on each client project they add. See Agency and client management.
Annual billing, proration and refunds
Paying annually gives you the equivalent of 2 months free: you pay for 10 months and get 12.
When you buy extra credits mid-term on an annual plan, you pay only for the months left in your current year. Add more credits shows the prorated amount before you buy, and how much your yearly renewal increases.
Refunds: on annual plans, refunds are available for 50% of the remaining time in your billing cycle. Monthly plans are not refundable after the billing date.
