Getting started

Introduction

What GEOflux measures, who it is for, and where to start

More and more buyers ask an AI assistant instead of typing keywords into a search box: "which CRM should a 10-person agency use", "what is the best espresso machine for a beginner", "which bank has the cheapest personal loan right now". The answer names a handful of brands and links a few sources. If your brand is not in that answer, you were not considered.

GEOflux asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the questions your buyers ask, every day (every 3 days on Free), and records what comes back: which brands the answers name, how they describe them, and which websites they cite as evidence. Over weeks that becomes a measurable picture of your visibility in AI search, next to your competitors.

GEOflux is used by in-house marketing, SEO and brand teams tracking their own brand, and by agencies running AI visibility for their clients.

What you can measure

MetricThe question it answers
VisibilityIn what share of AI answers is my brand named at all?
MentionsHow many answers name my brand?
Share of voiceWhen AI names brands in my space, how often is it me?
SentimentWhen AI names me, is the tone positive, neutral or negative?
Brand perceptionWhat exactly does AI praise and criticize about my brand?
CitationsWhich websites does AI use as evidence, and is my own site one of them?

Every metric can be read for all three engines together or one engine at a time, and sliced by topic, Buyer Journey stage, persona and more. See How GEOflux works for where the numbers come from.
